A TV console with a marble or sintered stone top on gold electroplated stainless steel legs, in white, green or black; the 2m white is in ready stock.
The front is a row of fluted doors split by thin gold strips, with rounded ends and gold trim under the top. It stands on slim gold legs, so the floor shows underneath, which makes a long console look lighter and leaves the floor below open for cleaning.
At 60cm high it is taller than most low consoles, so it works with a TV on a stand as well as one mounted on the wall. The green suits a living room with marble or warm wood; the black and white are easier to match in an HDB or condo with a neutral scheme.
Both look like stone, but they behave differently. Marble is natural and porous, so drinks, oils and acidic spills can mark it if they sit, and it is softer, so it scratches more easily. Sintered stone is pressed and fired at high heat, so it does not absorb spills, needs no sealing and resists scratches and heat better. For a console that holds speakers, plants and the odd cup of coffee, sintered stone is the lower-maintenance choice; marble suits buyers who want natural veining and do not mind wiping up promptly. Marble: wipe spills straight away, especially coffee, wine, oil, lemon and vinegar. Use coasters, placemats and a trivet for hot dishes, and clean with a damp cloth and mild soap rather than acidic or abrasive cleaners.
Sintered stone: wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild dish soap, then dry. It needs no sealing. Use a trivet for pots straight off the stove, avoid hard knocks on the edges, and lift the table rather than drag it.
Gold legs and trim: wipe with a soft dry cloth only; abrasive cleaners can scratch the electroplated finish.
