Dining chairs in velvet, PU, fabric and leather on stainless steel, gold, wooden or black iron legs, plus a bench, stool and bar chairs. Many have colours in ready stock, others are made to order, often in the colour you choose, and several are on view at our Mega@Woodlands showroom.
Seat materials in daily use
- Velvet is soft and comes in the widest choice of colours, on chairs like the Tommy, Kate and Merlion. As a guide, vacuum it with a soft brush now and then, and blot spills rather than rubbing them.
- PU and leather wipe clean with a damp cloth, which helps with young children. The Naas is made in PU, velvet, fabric or genuine leather, so you can choose.
- Fabric is soft and breathes, but soaks up spills, so blot them at once. The Lisa is fabric on black iron legs, in ready stock.
In Singapore's humidity, keep upholstered chairs in a ventilated room and let any damp patch dry fully, so mould does not set in.
Seat height and table height
As a guide, leave about 25 to 30cm between the seat and the table top. Our dining tables that list a height stand 75cm or 76cm high, and the Deus Black and Kels have seats 45cm from the ground, which leaves about 30cm. A kitchen counter or bar top needs a taller seat: our bar chairs come in chair heights from 55cm to 75cm as listed on each page; WhatsApp us to confirm the seat height for your counter.
How many chairs fit
As a rough guide, allow about 60cm of table edge for each chair, and about 90cm between the table and the wall so chairs can pull out. Narrower chairs fit more around a table: the Lisa is 44cm wide, the Leo 50cm and the Kels 52cm. A bench, like the 120cm velvet Stella, is another way to fill one side.
Ready stock or made to order
In ready stock, among others: the Tommy, the Merlion in black or white, the CK Premium in emerald green or off white, the Jay in grey or black, the Kate in white and the Hue in cream. Chairs made to order, like the Leo or Shell in a customised colour and the Naas in the material you choose, reach Singapore in about 6 to 8 weeks; WhatsApp us for the lead time on any other colour. Which dining chair material is easiest to keep clean?
