A fabric-upholstered dining chair on black-coated iron stands, 44cm wide and 86cm high, in ready stock in Singapore as pictured.
The seat and back are one curved, upholstered shell on four slim black legs, with no arms. The fabric shown is a muted grey-brown. It is a plain, light chair for an everyday dining table in an HDB flat or condo, and works just as well at a study desk or in an office pantry.
At 44cm wide it takes up less table edge than a chair with arms: three fit along each side of a 1.6m table. Fabric also stays cooler to sit on than leather or PU in Singapore's heat.
It depends on who uses them. Fabric, as on the Lisa, is soft to sit on and does not stick to your legs in hot weather, but it can hold a stain if a spill is left. Leather and PU wipe clean, which helps with young children, though they can feel warm after a long meal. Velvet is softer still and looks richer, but shows marks and needs a regular brush. See all our dining chairs to compare fabric, velvet and leather in one place.
Black legs sit best with a black stand. Try the compact Jed marble or sintered stone table, the Rays table with its crossed X stand in black, or the ET01 extendable glass table, which opens from 1.6m to 2m when guests come. See all dining tables.
Fabric: vacuum with a brush attachment every week or two, blot spills at once with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, and keep it out of strong direct sun to slow fading.
Metal: wipe with a soft dry cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners, which scratch plated finishes.
